Alan Krell

Alan Krell is an Art Historian, whose major writings have been on the French Impressionist Edouard Manet. He established the Art History and Theory department at the University of Western Sydney, Nepean.

Alan obtained his Ph.D from the university of Bristol in 1978, and has lectured in Art History around the world. His work has been published in international journals, including the Gazette des Beaux-Arts, The Art Bulletin, Art and Australia, and The Age Monthly Review.

He was born in Zimbabwe in 1949, and now works as a writer in Sydney.
