Daisy Ardley
Author of the two-volume local history of Kellyville.
Since 1947 Daisy has been an active member of the Kellyville community. Having witnessed “The Pleasant Village” change from a rural area, to a modern developed suburb full of promising families the mother of four set about recording the history of the area.
That book was published in 1993. This year's book is Kellyville - the Village Grew.
Daisy is an active volunteer, whose involvement in a variety of Community activities has benefited many of our young and elderly citizens of the Shire. She has also spoken in many history seminars and assisted council and other local businesses in the process to regenerate past events.
At 77 years of age, Daisy considers herself an ordinary member of the Shire. However, the rareness of her devotion, makes Daisy not an ordinary member, but one of a kind.
