I have been a Valiant enthusiast since September 1962 when my father rolled home in a new S series Valiant. I was well schooled in Chrysler cars as the family S series was replaced by a 1964 Dodge Phoenix which in turn gave way to a VH Charger 770 and then a CH Chrysler by Chrysler Hardtop.
The very first car I ever drove was that beautiful Chrysler by Chrysler Hardtop. It was powered by the oh so smooth 360 V8. That was a great car. What a great start I had behind the wheel. Thanks Mum and Dad.
I boughtmy first Valiant in 1973, an AP5 Regal. I have owned most types of Valiants, including a 6 pack Charger, an E55 Charger, a Pacer Hardtop and many others, both Hemis and V8s. I currently enjoy owning and driving 4 Valiants including a CM GLX V8.
In the 1970s and 1980s I competed in club sport, firstly in a Centura (245) and then the mighty Six Pack Charger. Thank you Chrysler Australia for providing such great cars that gave me several trophies.
I have been, and remain an active car club member and office holder.
