The story of Russ Tutty, his life in the western suburbs of Sydney and his thoughts on modern day society. He could well be a new, and much needed, voice of self-deprecation or he might just be a lonely and distant voice drowning in a vacuum of self pretentiousness. Yes, a life without meaning has never seemed so attractive.

Russ Tutty leads a life of confusion and disillusionment and yet, out of necessity, it is also one of happiness and contentment. His life includes being sent on Sunday morning "poo-runs" to Blacktown Showground as a child, a failure to find meaning or happiness in his early attempts at employment, a battle with penile inferiority e.g. his uncircumcised penis, continual rejection from females (not unrelated to his penile inferiority complex), a dalliance with drugs and as a result an even longer dalliance with hepatitis C, a father with strange hobbies, a mother who manages to provide free childcare despite persisting gynaeological problems, getting married at 40 to a beautiful Vietnamese woman whose grasp of English is as good as his grasp of Vietnamese ie poor, an enjoyment of fishing at the Nepean River for fish he never hopes to catch, and a very satisfying inability to make sense of nearly all that comes with being human.
